Everything about this band, from its name to its languishing pop, says
'the party's over.' Dark and brooding, yet not abrasive, the songs are
beautifully depressing. Well-done and dangerously sad to anyone with
the misfortune of having a broken heart. (AT)

Wet Confetti - policia de la educacion (grey day) By:Jon
Over and over again, Portland proves how great their bands are. Kind of
Like Spitting, and Sleater Kinney are some of the big band names from
there right now but, hopefully soon, Wet Confetti will be amongst those
ranks soon. All five songs are hits on this EP, that's actually
the problem I have with this CD only release. It's so good it makes
people want more. The disc leaves me wanting so much more.
Good marketing technique i suppose, because I'm sure going to buy the full
length when it come out, their big dicks cd was a particular success.
Wet Confetti's lo-fi sound is comforting and lovely as crunchy guitar riffs
quietly infect your soul while electric piano soothes the brain. Dan
Grazzini's vocals are sung over calculated, melodic noise thats not flashy,
but it's sure smart and impressive.
This CDEP is only the second release from Greyday Productions out of
Portland, ?OR. If they can continue to put out discs like this, I can
see them quickly becoming very successful, as well as one of my favorite
labels.
